LinkedIn Video.png

In recent years, LinkedIn has become the optimal platform for video-marketing. Say goodbye to static images and bring in those animated videos! ????

Bring life to your marketing! ????

Originally, LinkedIn video posts went out with an external link to the video. With the latest changes, videos are now posted natively to LinkedIn, meaning your followers can watch the video without leaving the LinkedIn platform. ????

Here are Linkedin Video Specs that you should keep in mind:

Accepted formats: .asf, .avi, .mp4, .flv, .mkv, .webm, Quicktime

Please visit LinkedIn Troubleshooting Guide to help you with the video specs you need to keep in mind.

Note: Only available for LinkedIn company pages. LinkedIn currently does not allow third-party apps, such as ContentStudio, to post a native video to personal profiles. This is an API restriction.

If this changes, we will work on bringing native video to LinkedIn profiles as well! There’s still hope for the future though! ????

Saved Replies in Social Inbox

Are you tired of typing out long, repetitive replies on your social? Want to save time and increase productivity? Saved Replies feature in Social Inbox will help you do just that.

While there’s nothing better than your fans reaching out to you on social media, we understand how challenging it is to respond to customers accurately and as fast as possible.

Luckily for you, we have something to help you speed up the process!

???? Introducing Saved Replies in Social Inbox, ContentStudio’s new tool to send saved custom responses.

Saved Replies - Social Inbox

How Will Saved Replies Help me?

???? Increase your team’s efficiency and consistency while responding to your customers. Help your brand engage with their socials better, keeping in track of your brand’s messaging guidelines!????

???? Unlike auto-responders, saved replies don’t get sent automatically. Instead, these are pre-written templates to help you respond faster, according to each different situation. They’re perfect for brands that are running a promotional campaign and get similar queries throughout the day.

Create New Reply:

1) Within an Inbox thread, select Saved Replies in the Reply field. This is located right next to the smiley face. ????

2) Click on Create New.

3) Add your custom reply, with a Title.

Here’s a tip: Insert variables such as the customer’s name to make the message more personalized and less robotic!

4) Select Save.

Tip:

You can make Saved Replies for hours of business operation, details about ongoing deals, demo invitation link, and pricing, etc.

Of course, if you use Saved Replies well, you can speed up things without sacrificing post quality.

General replies can also be included at the end such as:

“Have a nice day!”

“Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with?”

“Thank you for contacting us!”

These are just small things to help you along the way. Research what are the questions you receive most repeatedly. Make saved replies accordingly! ????

Discover Popular Hashtags #️⃣

Get more engagement with your tailored social posts using the ContentStudio hashtags feature!

A good #hashtag strategy can help you boost your brand’s social media engagement.

You can think of hashtags as a way to connect with an audience, a topic or a conversation. They aggregate all the content together, so it’s quite simple to discover all the posts relating to a topic domain.

Why do you need #Hashtags?

Hashtags

1. Increased Engagement

You can take part in trending conversations leading to higher engagement, and increased brand visibility.

For example, LinkedIn even notifies you of trending posts in hashtags that are relevant to you:

hashonlinkedin.png

2. Create a branded hashtag to drive engagement.

Get people talking. Encourage people to use your hashtag and showcase them on your page. Ultimately, bringing you with amazing user-generated content!

3. Add more context.

Longer doesn’t mean better. Sometimes, brevity in speech is just enough. Hashtags will help you contextualize what you’re talking about.

4. Increased Traffic

More people with discover your brand with the relevant hashtags. Ultimately, leading to higher social media traffic. Hashtag searches are pretty common on Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin.

However, using the wrong hashtags will make your account look too spammy. Using generic hashtags like #followforfollow or #happy won’t get your posts anywhere. You need to be mindful of your content.

What’s new?

With the recent release of ContentStudio’s Hashtag feature, you can now see the hashtags related to your keyword along with their popularity on social media channels.

Untitled.png

These numbers indicate their popularity value out of 100. Hence, the green ones with a rate higher than 80 are obviously a better choice than the blue ones!

All you need is one keyword. Let us do the rest. ????

(Wait, I mean the other kind of rest!???? )

After typing “#contentmarketing”, other similar, popular hashtags will appear so you can easily insert them into your caption. Without spending any time on research, you can tailor your hashtags according to the unique post. ????

TL;DR:

We’ve made it easier for you to save more time and get your social media strategy on point! ????

Deprecation of Spinner Features

As ContentStudio is en route to becoming the go-to tool in the industry for social media management and content marketing, we are continuously evolving our existing features and looking to add more valuable features for you. ????

However, there are certain old features in the tool that are no longer relevant or functional due to continuous evolution in the content marketing methodologies over the last few years.

Content spinning is one of those techniques which was used in content curation to rephrase existing content. Some of our early customers relied heavily on this feature (via our integrations with 3rd party tools) to manage content for their blogs. But, we have seen a huge drop in the utilization of this feature in the last 12 months. ????

Apart from this, the content spinner tools we had integrated with are no longer maintaining and supporting their APIs so we have observed a lot of problems with these integrations in the last few months.

Hence, in an effort to spend our resources on features better suited for our customers, we have deprecated the content spinner integrations from 6th of October, 2020 (PST).

So, content spinning integrations (Spin Rewriter, Chimp Rewriter, and Quillbot) and supporting features will no longer be available from the date mentioned above. ⬆

???? In other words, content spinner softwares have been:

LinkedIn Access Validity (1 year)

When you integrate LinkedIn and ContentStudio, an access token is generated to access your LinkedIn account on behalf of you. ????

This is how we are able to create, manage, and post to your account.

Now when a user will connect LinkedIn with ContentStudio then we will store a refresh token along with an access token.

Initially, you had to reauthenticate your account after every 2 months.

What changed?

???? Now, when the access token expires after 2 months, the system automatically generates a new access token for that user’s account using that refresh token.

???? This process will continue for the next whole year! ⏲

That means less work for you. Sit back, relax, and let ContentStudio post on behalf of you.

Of course, we will make sure you are notified in advance about your access tokens’ expiry! ????

(Users are notified via in-app-notification and email ???? 7 days3 days and a day before the token expires.)

Here’s how you can reauthorize your account (to avoid any interruption) for this change to take effect!

???? Bug Fixes & Improvements

We’re happy to let you know that our tech team investigated the following bugs and have made improvements:

  • We have refactored our Twitter Inbox module to increase performance.

You should now be able to use Twitter Inbox at a much better speed, but if you’re still experiencing issues, please contact Support.

  • As you all know, we integrated with Zapier for Direct Instagram Publishing. However, some users were experiencing bugs where they couldn’t post images with the aspect ratio of 1:91. That issue now has been fixed!
  • Following Social media analytics issues have been resolved:

— White labeling of Reports

— Date Range of Report generated

— Attachment of Link while emailing Analytics Reports

  • To ensure you get all of the emails directly delivered to your inbox, we have changed our transactional email provider to Postmark, which is one of the pioneers in transactional emails!

Moving on…

That’s all for today! Let me know what you think! 🙂
